The Dynamic Compressive Properties and Energy Dissipation Law of Sandstone Subjected to Freeze–Thaw Damage

To investigate the dynamic compressive properties and law of energy dissipation freeze–thaw-damaged sandstone, static experiments were conducted. The influences number freeze–thaw cycles strain rate on strength characteristics, fractal dimension characteristics sandstone evaluated. Based peak rate, a damage variable was established. results show that increases exponentially with there exists threshold. When is below this threshold, increasing DIF slows down increase in cycles; when higher than cycles. In addition, as well rate. established, degree under cycling can be characterized.
